Multimedia Library

1

A multipurpose structure

From this alarming observation was born the idea of making the multimedia library the backbone of FACE, that is to say the element that will bring together all types of people, from the youngest to the oldest and thus it will enable the transmission of knowledge and skills which is at the heart of our project.

We want the library to offer specific spaces such as:

Childcare space (books, awakening and educational games, musical instruments... for toddlers)

Artistic and discovery workshops for all ages (rediscovery and exchange of practices of ancient cultural activities tending to disappear such as braids with yarn, knitting, embroidery, sewing, board games like songo'o...)

- Traditional library for paper books of all types (literature, documentary, school, news...)

- Digital space

- Workspace

- Conference/representation/projection room

- Showroom for arts and crafts...

Mobile Library

A cultural emergency!

The vast majority of the people living in Cameroon has never seen a library !

Indeed, in this country of 27 million people, there are no museums, no cinemas and no public libraries !

This is a cultural emergency FACE wants to tackle.

"The truth is that there are moments in history, moments like the one we live in, where everything that prevents man from despairing, anything that allows us to believe and continue to live, needs a hiding place, a refuge. This refuge sometimes is only a poem, a song, a music, a book. »

Romain Gary

Education Européenne, 1945

We want to acquire several bookmobiles equipped with barnums in order to criss-cross remote neighbourhoods and bring the services of our organization as close as possible to the inhabitants unable to move: a work and reading space and if necessary, an exhibition or projection space, a removable stage for various artistic projects...

Education and skill exchanges

To help students to deepen their academic and professional knowledge, we want to create:

- a secure digital platform that will promote mutual education and skills exchange at both national and international levels,

- a resource bank that makes an inventory of all the different academic paths available to Africans in Africa and around the world,

- a network of partnerships with local and foreign companies to facilitate access to internships.
